PearsonLloyd, designers of the LINK modular room divider

PearsonLloyd – LINK

PearsonLloyd is a London-based design studio working worldwide across furniture, product, transport and public design. The studio was founded in 1997 by Tom Lloyd and Luke Pearson, who met in the early 1990s while studying at the Royal College of Art. Their partnership grew from the wish to bring together the different cultures of furniture and product design. PearsonLloyd has received many of the most coveted design awards.

PearsonLloyd designed the modular room divider LINK.

Skyroom Mosquito net and canopy by Nils Bennett for MOVISI

Nils Bennett – SKYROOM, DREAM, U-CUBE

Nils Bennett is an illusionist, trick designer and visionary – an expert in directing attention, staging and problem-solving. With his team, he helps artists, agencies and companies develop the seemingly impossible for stages, museums, shop windows, trade fairs and industry.

For MOVISI, Nils Bennett designed the SKYROOM MOSKITO and SKYROOM OFFICE and contributed to the modular furniture system U-CUBE and the DREAM window seat & desk – a comfortable seat that transforms into a desk in seconds. SKYROOM and DREAM are no longer in production.

Marine Peyre – U-CUBE

Marine Peyre has a playful approach to design. Modularity, unusual materials and expressive, colourful shapes are deeply rooted in her work. Play, dare, create, change, start again, invent.

Marine Peyre designed the modular furniture system U-CUBE, in collaboration with TRICKFORM. U-CUBE is part of the MOVISI programme but currently not in production.

TRICKFORM

TRICKFORM is an anonymous design alliance. For MOVISI, TRICKFORM co-designed the modular furniture system U-CUBE with Marine Peyre, as well as the SKYROOM OFFICE and the DREAM window seat, which are no longer in production.

Past collaborations

Over the years, MOVISI has worked with renowned international designers. The following products are no longer in production – but they are part of our story.

Karim Rashid, designer of the SNAP chair

Karim Rashid – SNAP chair

“I want to change the world” – with this conviction, Karim Rashid entered the public stage. Few designers of our time have sparked such strong emotions. With more than 3,000 designs in production and around 300 international awards, he is a living design legend, known for organic forms, soft surfaces and bold colours.

For MOVISI, Karim Rashid designed the SNAP chair, which received the Red Dot Design Award. The SNAP chair is no longer in production.

Q-COUCH modular seating by Frederik van Heereveld for MOVISI

Frederik van Heereveld – Q-COUCH modular seating

For MOVISI, Frederik van Heereveld designed Q-COUCH, a modular seating system made from ARPRO® EPP. Its organic, light-hearted elements connect by simple pressing – without fasteners or adhesives – and can be rearranged in seconds, from single seats to long lounge benches in any length, shape and colour.

Lightweight, waterproof and 100% recyclable, Q-COUCH was tested for contract use (BS 4875 Part 1, level 4, and BS EN 1022). Q-COUCH is no longer in production. Interested in modular seating for your project? Contact us.

Peter Marigold, designer of the MAKE/SHIFT shelving system

Peter Marigold – MAKE/SHIFT

Peter Marigold was born in London in 1974. At Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design he worked on everything from sculpture to theatre and event design. In 2005 he joined Ron Arad’s Design Products course (Platform Ten) at the Royal College of Art and has since focused on furniture design. His work has been exhibited in London, at the Milan furniture fair and at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

For MOVISI, Peter Marigold designed the MAKE/SHIFT shelving system. Looking for modular shelving today? Discover BUILD.

Antoine Phelouzat – PLAY

Antoine Phelouzat was born in France and trained in England. His first encounter with design came as a child playing with building blocks – a simple system that became one of his design principles: the user should take part in the design process.

For MOVISI, Antoine Phelouzat designed the PLAY shelving system, which makes our relationship with materials and industrial production tangible. Looking for modular shelving today? Discover BUILD.

LYTA lightweight armchair by Ronen Kadushin for MOVISI

Ronen Kadushin – LYTA chair

Born in Haifa, Israel, in 1964, Ronen Kadushin moved to Berlin in 2005, where he lectures design at the University of the Arts. In Berlin he founded Open Design: the design plans of his products are freely downloadable and can be copied, changed and produced under a Creative Commons licence – much like open-source software. His Open Design objects combine functionality with original aesthetics and humour.

For MOVISI, Ronen Kadushin designed the LYTA chair, a lightweight armchair made from ARPRO® EPP. Cushions and covers can be removed for washing, and every component can be replaced individually – so the chair never has to be discarded as a whole. The LYTA chair is no longer in production.

TEARS OFF customisable wallpaper by ZNAK for MOVISI

ZNAK – TEARS OFF wallpaper

For MOVISI, the design studio ZNAK created TEARS OFF, a creative DIY wallpaper. Its specially designed perforations let you tear off pieces after installation – so the colour and texture of the wall underneath become part of the design, and every wall becomes unique.

TEARS OFF received the Certificate of Excellence in Materials by Material ConneXion, the Best New Product award by I.D. Magazine and the Best Product award at Heimtextil Frankfurt 2010. TEARS OFF is no longer in production.
