HUSH acoustic
wall panels
Sound absorbing panels made from recycled plastic bottles. Magnetic, removable, and available in 15 colours. Cradle to Cradle certified.
Why HUSH
Why architects and interior designers choose HUSH
53
bottles per m²
Each square metre of panel material is made from 53 recycled plastic bottles, felted and heat-bound without glue or additives.
Magnetic
not permanent
Panels arrive with pre-installed self-adhesive magnets and a spacing tool. Rearrange them whenever the room changes.
B-s1,d0
fire class
Certified to DIN EN 13501-1 and ASTM E-84 Class A — suitable for offices, schools and public buildings.
C2C
Cradle to Cradle certified
LEED v4 compliant for low-emitting products, Ecobau eco 1, and tested to CDPH 01350 for indoor air quality.

Mounting
Magnetic mounting, no drilling
Panels arrive with pre-installed self-adhesive magnets and a triangular spacing tool for consistent placement. No drilling, no screws, nothing permanent — and the panels come off again when the room changes. For schools, clinics and other public buildings where panels should not be removable, they can also be glued in place.
Applications
Acoustic wall panels for offices, public spaces and interiors
Open-plan offices are a stage for ambient noise. HUSH panels absorb sound where it is created — on walls, above desks, behind reception counters and along corridors. They mount with magnets, so a layout can change with the room rather than being fixed to it.

Where HUSH is used
- Offices and co-working spaces — open-plan areas, meeting rooms, phone booths
- Reception and entrance halls — hard surfaces that reflect sound
- Restaurants, canteens and cafeterias — where cutlery, conversation and footsteps overlap
- Schools and universities — classrooms and lecture halls, fire class B-s1,d0
- Clinics and medical practices — antimicrobial, cleanable, no breeding ground for mould
- Retail and showrooms — opticians, studios, pop-up spaces
- Homes and home offices — living rooms, studios, music and video rooms
- Pinboards — the felt surface takes pins, useful for creative teams

Canteens
Canteens and dining areas
In a busy cafeteria, cutlery, conversation and footsteps combine into a wall of sound. Panels on the walls absorb the reflections that make a room exhausting to sit in, and combine with LINK room dividers to zone the space at the same time.

Projects
Used in offices, universities, clinics and retail interiors
HUSH panels are installed in university buildings in the USA, in clinics and medical practices, in optician studios and in corporate offices including Amazon. Their fire classification and low-emission certification make them suitable for public buildings and healthcare interiors.
MOVISI modular furniture is used by Disney, Amazon, Swarovski, Ferrari, Google, Mercedes-Benz, the BBC, the Design Museum, the European Parliament and the United Nations.

Colours
15 colours, from quiet naturals to energetic brights
The colours are drawn from the natural world and from high-end design, and they are through-dyed: the fibre itself carries the colour, so it does not fade with use or with aggressive cleaning. Colour fastness is rated Grade 6 to EN ISO 105-B02.
Colour families
- Quiet Naturals — Milk White, Grey, Black
- Warm Naturals — Warm Stone, Dusky Pink
- Living Greens — Moss Green, Pine Green
- Elemental Blues — Blue Winter Sky, Blue Pacific Ocean
- Energetic Brights — Yellow, Red
Slight variations in colour and surface are inherent to a material made from recycled fibre. We recommend requesting a material sample before specifying a colour — screens and print do not reproduce it reliably.

The panels also work as pinboards: the felt surface takes pins, which makes them useful for creative teams in offices and studios.
Acoustics
The air gap matters
The 4 mm magnets hold the panel slightly off the wall. That gap is not a side effect of the mounting system — it is part of how the panel works. Sound passes through the felt, reflects off the wall and is absorbed on the way back, which is why a mounted HUSH panel performs better than the flat material measured on its own.
Material
Made from 53 plastic bottles per square metre
MOVISI SONIC is 100% PET with a minimum of 60% post-consumer content: plastic bottles, felted and heat-bound in a custom process that needs no glue and no additives. The origin of the fibre is certified by an independent institute — our partner Impact Acoustic in Switzerland is the only material manufacturer that can trace 100% of its raw material.

Certification
| Cradle to Cradle | Certified. Bronze overall, gold in water stewardship and material reutilisation |
| SCS Recycled Content | Minimum 60% recycled PET, independently verified |
| LEED v4 | Qualifies under EQ credit “Low-emitting products” |
| Ecobau eco 1 | Highest rating of the Swiss ecobau label, qualifies for Minergie projects |
| VOC emissions | CDPH 01350 pass, tested to ISO 16000 and EN 16516, TVOC below 0.5 mg/m³ |
| Declare | Red List Free, all ingredients disclosed |
| Environmental Product Declaration | Full LCA-based environmental impact report available |

The material is also being tested for post-consumer reuse in construction, where it can be cut into planks — a second life after the wall.

FAQ
HUSH acoustic wall panel FAQ
How are HUSH panels mounted?
With pre-installed self-adhesive magnets. Each order includes a triangular spacing tool for consistent placement. No drilling and no screws are needed, and the panels can be removed and rearranged. For public buildings where panels should stay fixed, they can be glued instead.
How much sound do they absorb?
The 12 mm material is rated αw 0.30 to DIN ISO 11654. Mounted as a HUSH panel, the 4 mm magnets leave an air gap between wall and panel, which improves absorption beyond that figure.
Are they suitable for schools and public buildings?
Yes. HUSH panels carry fire classification B-s1,d0 to DIN EN 13501-1 and Class A to ASTM E-84, and they pass CDPH 01350 for indoor air quality.
What are they made of?
100% PET with a minimum of 60% post-consumer content, felted and heat-bound without glue or additives. Each square metre uses 53 recycled plastic bottles.
How do I clean them?
A fast-evaporating alcohol-based cleaner is recommended. The material tolerates aggressive cleaning without fading, and it is naturally antimicrobial with a growth rating of 0 to ASTM G21-15.
Can I use them as a pinboard?
Yes. The felt surface takes pins, which makes the panels useful in offices and studios as well as on acoustic grounds.
Can I install them myself?
Yes. The panels arrive ready to mount with the magnets and spacing tool included, and no tools or expertise are needed.
Do the colours fade?
No. The fibre is through-dyed rather than surface-coloured, rated Grade 6 for colour fastness to EN ISO 105-B02.
Are they recyclable?
Yes. The material is Cradle to Cradle certified and is currently being tested for reuse in the construction sector, where it can be cut into planks.
Can I order a sample?
Yes. Colour and surface vary slightly between batches because the material is made from recycled fibre, so we recommend requesting a sample before specifying a colour.
Do HUSH panels work with BUILD shelving?
Yes. The honeycomb shape is modelled directly on the BUILD shelving system, and the same material is used for SONIC lids and inlay panels.
Where are they made?
In Germany, from material produced by Impact Acoustic in Switzerland.
