For MOVISI, sustainability is not a trend or an add-on. It is at the core of our design philosophy. From day one, we have been developing sustainable modular furniture that makes life easier for our customers while protecting the resources of our planet.
Our modules are made from a single material, require no screws, glue or tools and are fully recyclable. They are extremely lightweight, highly load-bearing and designed to stay in use for many years.

Our approach: sustainability starts with the way we think
Truly sustainable furniture does not begin at the recycling stage. It starts with the idea. For every product we ask ourselves:
- How little material is really necessary?
- How can we make a piece of furniture last longer without making it heavier?
- How can a single module fulfil countless different functions?
- How can a system stay useful when people’s lives and needs change?

Our modular furniture is made from ARPRO® expanded polypropylene (EPP), a high-performance particle foam that is durable, fully recyclable and ideal for eco-friendly furniture. It consists of 95–98% air, which gives it unique sustainability benefits. Our HUSH acoustic wall panels are made from MOVISI SONIC, a felt made from recycled PET bottles and Cradle to Cradle certified.
High load capacity with minimal resources
EPP is impact-absorbing, dimensionally stable and long-lasting, so furniture can be used for many years without losing performance or quality.
Extremely lightweight
Low weight means less fuel, fewer CO₂ emissions and easy handling, whether at home, in the office or at events.
Safe and healthy indoors
Free from harmful substances and emissions: ideal for workplaces, homes, children’s rooms and event spaces.

What makes MOVISI furniture sustainable?
MOVISI furniture is made from a single, recyclable material and is modular and extremely lightweight. This means less raw material, fewer emissions during transport and furniture that can be reused and reconfigured for many years instead of being replaced.
Are MOVISI products fully recyclable?
Yes. Our furniture modules are made from pure EPP (expanded polypropylene), which is 100% recyclable and can be fully returned to the material cycle without loss of quality. Our HUSH acoustic panels are made from 100% PET with a minimum of 60% recycled content.
How long do the modules last?
EPP is extremely robust, shock-absorbing and dimensionally stable. Many of our customers have been using MOVISI modules for more than ten years without noticeable wear.
Why does MOVISI manufacture in Germany?
We manufacture exclusively in Germany to ensure short transport routes, high environmental and quality standards and fair working conditions. This reduces emissions and provides maximum transparency.
Are the modules free from harmful substances?
Yes. Our material is toxicologically safe and emission-free. It is suitable for all indoor spaces, including children’s rooms, offices and other sensitive environments.
